I love that my heart is at peace even when my husband is mad at me, cause even then I have no doubt of his love and commitment to me. He doesn’t deny me because he’s angry or in a state of hurt and I find that extremely divine.
It’s the greatest security I find I enjoy and thank God for often.
His being mad at me doesn’t stop him from saying “bless you” when I sneeze, from putting a blanket over me if I sleep uncovered or putting on the heater for me when he wakes up (cause he’s always up before me even though I shower before him), he’s just as kind and loving. That he doesn’t use a present hurt to deny me of love or judge my entire being, is something I’ve sat to mediate and really thank God for, cause even I am not there yet.
It brought into perspective how healthy or unhealthy our view of God can be in the times when we’ve erred and feel so ashamed and guilty. Whether we judge God as unable to handle hurt and still love us, and run further away in fear of what His hurt could deny us of.
One of the beautiful things about being with someone who mirrors Abba, is that it fine-tunes and amplifies your view of God. Our relationship with God remains the standard for every other relationship, but sometimes, some perspectives may we found lacking and the Holy Spirit will use some human relationships to teach us more of what our relationship with The Father should be like.
If earthly men can handle hurt and pain without denying us of love and care, how much more our father in heaven who loves us without condition?
That Nelson does this, tells me how welcome and loved I am even to Abba even when I’ve fallen short, so rather than run away in fear of an outburst of hurt or anger, I run to Him, because even then, His love is just as full and authentic as when I think I’ve caused no hurt or pain.
A healthy view of God makes God always approachable, never unapproachable for any reason.
The story of the prodigal son should be a daily meditation for the believer, every part of the story reveals Gods heart for us and to us.
So come, especially in the times you feel the deepest urge to run and hide.

Yes! A healthy view of God makes Him approachable. And those who walk closely with Him amplify the Holy Spirit’s navigational signal. It is so wonderful that God has blessed you with a godly husband. 🙏Abundant blessings (His) be with you!

So important to spend time in God’s word to maintain a healthy view of God. We can also be a reflection of God being approachable for others to see. I am glad your husband does this for you 🙂
