“Green with Envy”

January 20, 2018April 29, 2019Leave a comment

I just got off the train a few days ago when I randomly began thinking why green was the colour that denoted jealousy or envy. I mean, I know green is not the greatest colour, but it's my mums favourite colour and I really wanted to know why it was used as a synonym or … Continue reading “Green with Envy”

Not in my feelings…

August 22, 2017Leave a comment

If I got a penny for every time I heard someone say "I don't feel like doing ...", or "I don't feel like eating ...", or even, "I don't feel like being ...", I would be rich. Because half the time, people do not feel like doing what they should be doing. So they express … Continue reading Not in my feelings…

Only you can’t see it!

August 21, 2017Leave a comment

Last week, I got away from home to camp. I knew very well that it was not going to be all rosy and comfortable, but I think I needed the discomfort. To think clearer and also meet new people. I did not go with a lot of expectations and that went a long way in … Continue reading Only you can’t see it!

Ticking the boxes?

July 27, 2017Leave a comment

For a good part of my young life, I woke up everyday ticking boxes to assure myself I was living a God-good life. My first box was always my devotion, "Rubie did you do your devotion today?, did you do your devotion before you picked your phone or had breakfast?" And other related questions. In … Continue reading Ticking the boxes?

Process & Time

July 27, 2017Leave a comment

Few days ago I sat down to have my lunch, it was the most frustrating eating experience because I got up more times than I put a fork of food in my mouth. What was I getting up to do? I was standing up to get water in my cup. I would get up, go … Continue reading Process & Time

Holding on & Letting go

June 19, 2017Leave a comment

I learnt my antonyms faster than I did my synonyms. It was no surprise anyways cause with antonyms, I would only have to think of what was directly opposite to the word and an answer would come. Usually always faster than finding a word similar in meaning to the word thought about as in the … Continue reading Holding on & Letting go

Time and Chance

May 6, 2017May 19, 20171 Comment

2 days ago, I stumbled on a verse that has been resonating in my heart and to be fair, I've heard this verse all my life but for some reason, this time, it seemed deeper than appeared on the surface. It's been on my mind for 2 days now. And for anyone I've spoken too, … Continue reading Time and Chance

We have it easier

April 18, 2017April 29, 2019Leave a comment

I know the title sounds crazy and is also very vague, like who exactly are the 'we'. I put it that way so I didn't have people throwing tomatoes at me in their head before they actually got down to reading the post. This morning, I woke up to a link to a periscope broadcast … Continue reading We have it easier

Complete Woman

I don’t know about you but I have always prayed to God to make me the woman after His heart.
Have you ever imagined how David felt?
Well I have and I figured I wanted to feel that way.
We’re on that journey now to becoming the women after God’s heart.

We’re not attempting to earn a spot, we have a spot already, we’re living purposely to look like the thoughts God had before creating us.
